Medical Writing Tools (including AI)
As the broader field of medical writing evolves, including medical communication, regulatory writing, and the development of clinical manuscripts and case studies, tools and technologies are becoming central to how high-quality content is planned, generated, reviewed, and maintained. Increasing data volumes and complexity further drive the need for solutions that support efficient handling and interpretation of large and complex datasets, enabling more robust and scalable data analysis beyond manual capabilities.
This issue explores the expanding landscape of tools used across medical writing and communication, from content management systems and QC automation to AI-enabled authoring, translation, and review support. It will also examine how such tools facilitate the effective communication of clinical and medical data, including the creation of clear, high-quality visualizations and figures for presentations and publications.
The collection will highlight practical use cases, implementation considerations, and lessons learned, offering balanced insights into how tools can enhance efficiency, consistency, and quality while maintaining appropriate human oversight. Articles will provide medical writers and communicators with a forward-looking yet pragmatic perspective on adopting tools that genuinely add value across the content lifecycle.
